This easy turkey bean and cabbage soup recipe is made in a crock pot, and consists of 13 ingredients, including diced tomatoes and oregano.
What you need:
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 5 c cabbage, chopped
- 2 (15 oz) cans kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 14 oz can vegetable broth
- 14 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 6 oz can tomato paste
- 5 medium carrots, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 t beef bouillon granules
- 1 t ground cumin
- 1 t oregano
- 1/4 t black pepper
- salt to taste
What you do:
- Brown turkey with onion; drain any fat.
- Place in crock pot and add remaining ingredients except cabbage.
- Mix well.
- Cover and cook on low for 3 hours.
- Stir in cabbage and cook for another 3 – 4 hours.
