Sauerkraut and Sausage Soup
This hearty crock pot recipe is perfect for those cold winter days, and it's also easy to make!
Equipment
- 1 crock pot 4-7 quarts
Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage sliced in half lengthwise, then sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
- 5 medium potatoes chopped
- 32 oz can/jar of sauerkraut rinsed and drained
- 2 medium carrots sliced
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 48 oz chicken broth
- 6 oz tomato paste
Instructions
- Add all ingredients to crock pot and mix.
- Cover and cook on high for 8 hours.
- Serve with buttered bread.
