Cheeseburger Surprise
Ingredients
- 1.25 lb ground chuck
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c ketchup
- 1/3 c dry bread crumbs
- 1.5 T sweet pickle relish
- 1 T Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T water
- 3 T onion chopped fine
- 1 t salt
- 1/4 t black pepper
- 4 slices American cheese
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except cheese in a medium bowl and mix thoroughly with hands.
- Shape into 4 hamburger patties and refrigerate for at least one hour.
- Cook on grill over hot coals, or in skillet on stove for 10-12 minutes, flipping once halfway through cook time.
- Top with cheese, cover pan or grill, and cook for 1 more minute.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
