What you need:
- 3-4 lb sirloin tip roast
- 3 celery ribs, sliced
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 T vegetable or olive oil
- 1/2 c red wine
- salt
- black pepper
What you do:
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Liberally rub roast with salt and
pepper. Place sirloin tip roast in hot oil in skillet and brown on all sides.
- Layer bottom of slow cooker with garlic and vegetables. Place
sirloin tip roast on top of vegetables. Pour red wine over roast. Cook, covered, for 8 -10 hours on low.
