What you need:
- 2 lbs round steak, cut into bite sized pieces
- 28 oz can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 ribs of celery, sliced
- 1 c water
- 1 t beef bouillon granules
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 T chili powder
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 t cumin
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/8 t cayenne pepper
- 1/8 t black pepper
What you do:
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Add beef and cook over medium high
heat until browned. Add beef and remaining ingredients to a 3.5 quart or larger crock pot and mix. Cook, covered, for 8 hours on low.
