We raved about the dipping sauce. It&#8217;s got a great bold flavor that compliments the shrimp perfectly. When you make it, you&#8217;ll know what I mean!<\/p>\n<p>So let&#8217;s get right to it! Here&#8217;s the recipe&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outback Steakhouse Coconut Shrimp &#8211; Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1.5 lbs. large, raw shrimp<\/li>\n<li>.5 cup all-purpose flour<\/li>\n<li>.5 cup cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>.5 tbsp. white pepper<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp. vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>1 cup ice water<\/li>\n<li>2 cups shredded coconut (short shreds)<\/li>\n<li>Oil for deep frying<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Dipping sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>.5 cup orange marmalade<\/li>\n<li>.25 cup Grey Poupon country mustard<\/li>\n<li>.25 cup honey<\/li>\n<li>3 to 4 drops Tabasco pepper sauce (I like to use more!)<\/li>\n<li>Mix &#8217;em all together!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outback Steakhouse Coconut Shrimp &#8211; Directions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat oven to 300 degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Peel, de-vein, and wash shrimp. Dry with paper towels and set aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>In a large mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients, except coconut.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Add 2 tbsp. oil and ice water. Blend well.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Add ample amounts of oil to deep fryer or deep skillet. Heat to 350 degrees.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Spread a thin layer of coconut on a plate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Dip shrimp in batter, then roll in coconut (add more coconut as necessary).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Fry in hot oil for 4 minutes, or until light brown.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Drain shrimp, place on baking sheet, and bake an additional 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Enjoy with that incredible dipping sauce!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And there you have it!
