Slow Cooker Beef Chili Soup

 

This slow cooker beef chili soup recipe is perfect for that chilly fall or winter, lunch or dinner. Cook in a crock pot for 7-8 hours on low.

 

 

What you need:

 

  • 2 lbs round steak, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 28 oz can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 ribs of celery, sliced
  • 1 c water
  • 1 t beef bouillon granules
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 T chili powder
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 t cumin
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 t black pepper


What you do:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet.  
  • Add beef and cook over medium high heat until browned.  
  • Add beef and remaining ingredients to a 3.5 quart or larger crock pot and mix.  
  • Cook, covered, for 8 hours on low.
