Slow Cooker Beef and Mushrooms

 

This quick and easy to make slow cooker beef and mushrooms recipe consists of seven ingredients. It’s best served with mashed potatoes or egg noodles.

 

 

What you need:

 

  • 3 lbs beef stew meat
  • 2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 package dry onion soup mix
  • 8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 c cooking sherry
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1/8 t black pepper


What you do:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet.  
  • Add beef to skillet and cook over high heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, but not cooked through.  
  • Place beef and remaining ingredients into a 3.5 quart or larger crock-pot and mix.  
  • Cook, covered, for 7-8 hours on low.  
  • Best served with mashed potatoes, or over hot egg noodles.
