This quick and easy to make slow cooker beef and mushrooms recipe consists of seven ingredients. It’s best served with mashed potatoes or egg noodles.
What you need:
- 3 lbs beef stew meat
- 2 (10 3/4 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 8 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/2 c cooking sherry
- 2 T vegetable oil
- 1/8 t black pepper
What you do:
- Heat oil in a large skillet.
- Add beef to skillet and cook over high heat for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until lightly browned, but not cooked through.
- Place beef and remaining ingredients into a 3.5 quart or larger crock-pot and mix.
- Cook, covered, for 7-8 hours on low.
- Best served with mashed potatoes, or over hot egg noodles.
