This slow cooked bean bacon and sausage stew recipe consists of 10 ingredients, including smoked sausage, 4 types of beans, and onion.
What you need:
- 2 (14-16 oz) packages smoked sausage
- 1/2 lb bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- 28 oz can pork and beans, undrained
- 15 oz can lima beans, drained
- 15 oz can navy beans, drained
- 15 oz can ranch-style beans, drained
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 1 c ketchup
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 1 T vinegar
What you do:
- Slice sausage lengthwise, then into 1 inch pieces.
- Add sausage and remaining ingredients to a 4 quart or larger crock pot and mix thoroughly.
- Cover and cook for 6-7 hours on low.
- Serve in bowls with hot buttered biscuits or bread.
