Quick and Easy Pan Seared Scallops

 

This quick and easy pan seared scallops recipe consists of 5 ingredients, including lemon pepper, Kosher salt, and olive oil.

 

 

What you need:

 

  • 1 lb medium scallops
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T olive oil
  • lemon pepper to taste
  • Koser salt to taste


What you do:

  • Rinse scallops and dry with paper towels.  
  • Season scallops with salt and lemon pepper.  
  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over low heat until butter melts.  
  • Turn up heat to high.  
  • When butter oil mixture starts to smoke, add scallops to skillet.  
  • Make sure scallops are not touching each other in pan.  
  • Cook scallops over high heat 2 minutes per side.  
  • Do not move scallops around pan while cooking to create a nice sear on both sides.  
  • Serve immediately.
