For herbs that you use, you want them to be fresh. Now, this is not always possible, but if you go to a farmers market, you will surely find many fresh herbs to use in your lasagna recipe. When buying onions, garlic, and other herbs make sure you ask the farmer if the produce you’re buying is organic. You don’t want to use product that has pesticides.

For all of your cooking, use only sea salt. This is the healthiest salt to use, since it is filled with various minerals. Regular salt does not contain minerals and in your body it attracts water, causing you to gain weight. Low fat lasagna will benefit from using sea salt.

The Olive oil you want to use for this lasagna is fresh cold pressed. Pick those bottles that are dark since they protect the olive oil from becoming rancid.

Cheeses here is the heart of the low fat lasagna. Here’s where you want to choose low fat cheeses. Never use cheeses that are cut into slices. These are processed and have additives.
