Italian Pot Roast

 

This Italian pot roast recipe consists of 10 ingredients, many of which you probably already have in your kitchen. Cook in a crock pot for 8-9 hours on low.

 

 

 

 

What you need:

 

  • 3-4 lb beef roast
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 4 oz can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 t oregano
  • 1 t basil
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper


What you do:

  • Trim roast of excess fat.  
  • Place roast into a 3.5 quart or larger crock-pot.  
  • Add remaining ingredients to slow cooker.  
  • Cook, covered, for 8 – 9 hours on low, or until roast is falling apart with fork.
