Delicious Double Tomato Bruschetta by Destry Masterson
Within 35 minutes after reading this article you should have some delicious double tomato bruschetta. The prep time should take about 15 minutes and that is if you are working by yourself, if you have a partner it should go a bit faster.
Cook time will only take about seven minutes, so adding the cook time, prep time and the cool time, and the time it takes to read this article, it should take about 35 minutes to complete the whole project. Get the chef’s knife out of the cupboard and rinse off the cutting board.
You do not want dust to get all over your ingredients. Get six plum Roma tomatoes and dice them neatly, placing the diced bits into a large bowl.
Get one half cup of sun-dried tomatoes and mix them into the large bowl as well. Get three cloves of garlic and mince them on the same cutting board you used for the tomatoes, and you can use the same knife too if you would like.
Add the minced garlic into the bowl along with two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, one fourth cup of basil, one fourth teaspoon of salt and one fourth teaspoon of pepper. Let this mixture sit for a total of ten minutes so that the flavors can intermingle and mix properly.
Preheat the oven on a broiler setting while you are cutting and arranging all the ingredients into a bowl. After you have the oven preheated and the ingredients mixed into a bowl then it will be time to start putting everything together.
Now you will need to get out a bread knife and a French baguette. In case you are not familiar with the term baguette it means loaf of bread, so in other words you need a loaf of French bread.
Cut the baguette into three fourth inch slices and arrange them on a large baking sheet. Place the baking sheet with the sliced bread under the broiler in the oven for one to two minutes or until the tops of the bread are slightly brown.
Now take the mixing bowl and evenly distribute the contents over the slightly browned bread. Top each slice of bread with mozzarella and then let it all broil for another five minutes.
It should only take about five minutes for all the chees to melt. Some ovens may be hotter and others may be colder, so just broil the bread until the cheese is melted.
Now it is time to let it cool. In just minutes you will be able to snarf on the gourmet meal you created.
