What you need:
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
- 1 small head of cabbage, cut in small wedges
- 4 oz can mushroom stems and pieces, drained
- 15 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 t black pepper
- salt to taste
What you do:
- Add all ingredients to a 31/2 quart crock-pot and mix. Cook,
covered, for 6 - 8 hours on low. Serve with warm bread.
- Add 1/2 - 1 t red pepper flakes for a spicier version.
